The First Great Commandment:
You Shall Love The Lord Your God With All Your Heart, With All Your Soul, And With All Your Mind.
The Second Great Commandment:
To Love Your Neighbor As You Love Yourself.
Yet so many find this very difficult since they don’t love themselves. They often fail to see that we are all “Perfectly Imperfect Children of God” living a life filled with extraordinary hardships. We often make EASY COMPROMISES with the World.
When Jolene was about 9 she went to the corner store and gave the cashier a $5.00 dollar bill he gave her change. when she returned home she showed me the change. He had given her change for a $20.00 dollar bill. She asked me what she should do I said you must make that decision. She thought about it for a while and then returned the change to the cashier. Later she asked me what I thought and I said that as long as you considered both decisions whatever you decided would be fine as long as you believed that you made the right decision. Every time she went to that store he always gave her a discount. And she went there for many years.
Did you overcharge your customer, did you forgive your debtor, did you seek the greatest deal for yourself as opposed to a good and honest business deal for all parties?
A great man I met named John Rutigliano always believed that a business deal that both parties believed was fair and honest was the best business deal so that both parties could walk away feeling good about their agreement. John “Dom” was a wise negotiator. I asked him how he came to that decision. He said it was his Father who taught him. I have never forgotten you for being kind to both Jolene and me.
Do you seek a 100% return on everything as you silently watch others suffer from your greed? You are writing your Book Of Life. Try to be considerate in keeping the 10 Commandments of God as well as the Two Great Commandments of Jesus Christ.
Matthew 6:33 “But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all else will be given to You”. Take time to laugh and play and enjoy your amazing life before it is but a passing memory to your family, friends, and neighbors.
