The Fatima Chaplet provides informative, inspirational, and spiritually enriching content to the global community of the Digital World.
We began building the foundation blocks for The Fatima Chaplet back in the late 1980s. In the early 1990s, copies of “The Novena Chaplet of Adoration” were mailed to several religious communities for review as well as Sister Mary Joseph, A.M.I., at the World Apostolate of Fatima, in Washington, New Jersey.
Sister Mary Joseph suggested the title “The Fatima Chaplet” and that the Chaplet be prayed on ordinary Rosary Beads. She also gave us constructive suggestions, guidance, and much-needed encouragement. In Sister Mary Joseph’s last letter dated January 16, 1994, she writes:
“…Father Miller is not with us anymore and that Toni Carmier, the lady at Blue Army National Center, who was working on the Fatima Chaplet project with us, died quite suddenly. So now I seem to be back at square one. No one knows what happened to the copy I sent to Fr. Miller for approval and the lady who is taking over Toni’s work has not found anything on the Chaplet in her files. Strange. Also, I found out that we will have to get permission to make a Fatima Chaplet–probably from the Bishop of Fatima. …”
In April 1994, we contacted Father Peter Bennett the newly appointed National Director of the World Apostolate of Fatima in Washington, New Jersey, who encouraged our work. However God had other plans for within a few days of Father Peter Bennett’s appointment, the Eternal Father called him home.
Any additional work with The Fatima Chaplet was coming to about a decade-long standstill. A short time later we also learned about a severe fire at the World Apostolate that destroyed many of their original files and documents.
On October 13, 2004, the Fatimaprayers.com ministry (now known as The Fatima Chaplet) was introduced to the global community. It is our small attempt to help spread Devotion to Our Lady of Fatima.
